Foster & Adoption Support Group
Woodlands Campus
Are you a current Foster Parent or interested in becoming a Foster Parent/Adopting? Join us in the VIP Family Viewing Room on the last Tuesday of each month as we walk the journey together! We will be working through The Connected Child as a group. Childcare is provided.
Life Class

It's time to grow, serve and lead. In Life Class, Pastor Kerry teaches the spiritual disciplines required to grow your walk with Christ and serve His bride, the church, more effectively. We have both in-person as well as online available. The in-person class will provide complimentary lunch and programs for children birth through 5th grade. If you have a student, Jr. High and High School students are encouraged to join their parents for the class.

We’d like to thank all volunteers who joined our Disaster Relief Ministry yesterday as we began assisting those affected by recent flooding! ❤️
Our cooking team set up a mobile kitchen and worked alongside members of the community to share food, offer prayer and support to homeowners, construction workers and anyone who stopped by the disaster relief center in River Plantation.
Our mud & gut teams began helping in three homes and will continue the work this evening. Please continue to lift up in prayer all families affected and the crews who have mobilized to help. 🙏
Join us this weekend as we kick off our teen clothing drive for our Foster & Adoption
Ministry! 🍏
Swing by the main lobby at both campuses and pluck an apple off the tree in our apple orchard. Then, shop for brand new adult size clothing and shoes that will brighten the lives of teens in group homes and in CPS care.
Last year, you sponsored over 550 apples total, which resulted in a wonderful opportunity later in the summer where we had the honor of hosting and blessing the teens with necessities needed to start the school year off with confidence.

We are already receiving reports that today’s flooding has caused significant damage to homes and displaced many families, especially north of our Woodlands campus.
The worst of the flooding could happen between today and tomorrow morning as water moves through the watershed system.
This post is to share current resources available in Montgomery and Harris counties for those in need of temporary shelter.
If you or someone you know is affected by the flooding, please reach out to us by emailing our Missions department at Missions@wc.org. Please include your name, the address of the home, any relevant photos, and if you rent or own the home.
We are working on plans to deploy our Disaster Relief Ministry in the coming week. Once the waters recede and we begin to assess the needs of those affected by the flooding, we will share more information about the deployment of our Disaster Relief Ministry and ways you can support those in need.

You can drop gifts off in our main lobby Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, on Sunday at our Woodlands campus, we’ll have FedEx trucks parked by the cross fountain with volunteers happy to assist and additional drop-off points in our lobby.

We are thrilled to share that 2,132, or 80% of our Angels this Angel Tree have been sponsored across both campuses. We are so moved by your incredible generosity, church! 🙌
The mission is not complete yet. As we approach the final weekend of sponsorships, we have 516 remaining Angels that will be available for sponsorship in the main lobby this weekend. 394 are at our campus in The Woodlands and 122 remain at our Atascocita campus.🎄
From sponsoring an Angel to serving with us, thank you for making a difference! Your kindness and generosity has touched the lives of so many recipients. We are on pace to provide Christmas gifts to 2,648 children and seniors in our community this year.

Angel Tree 2023 begins on November 18th!
For over two decades, our Angel Tree ministry has provided Christmas gifts and shared the love of Christ with thousands of children and senior citizens in our community.
Join us this year as we continue the tradition of generosity and service by sponsoring an Angel and serving with our Angel Tree team, starting on November 18th.
We have 600 Angel Tree volunteer spots open from November 18-December 13. Angel Tree is a great opportunity to serve as a family or Life Group, and we’d love to get you involved and making a difference.

We’re grateful for the notes you’ve written to foster parents visiting our closet. Your notes add a personal touch when families shop at the closet, letting them know how loved and supported they are. 🩵
Making a difference can be as simple as adding a small pack of diapers or unscented baby wipes to your grocery list this week.
