Serve Saturday: Hurricane Beryl Relief

Kerry and I are so amazed at how God is using WC to meet the needs of our communities and city with the love of Christ in the aftermath of the storm.  We are so grateful for the leadership of Pastor Chance and the work of the disaster relief team, pastors, staff, and volunteers. You are truly being Christ’s hands and feet to share his love to so many who are hurting.  We know that so many of you who are serving have also experienced trees uprooted, roofs damaged and a loss of electricity, and yet you keep serving others.  Please let the church know how we can help you.  

We want to keep you updated on some of the things our disaster relief teams have already done and what’s coming next.

• 2,000 people without power have come to our cooling center 
• We now have 14 chainsaw crews cutting trees and clearing debris in peoples’ yards (WC Texas Chainsaw Ministry!)
• At our Atascocita campus we have given needed supplies to 250 families who were hit hard by the storm. 
• 8 pallets of supplies were given out that included water, non-perishable foods, cleaning, and hygiene supplies. Our Student Ministry team is distributing the same type of supplies tomorrow morning in the 3rd Ward in Houston. 
• And we are just getting started organizing hundreds of clean-up teams to show Christ’s love in their communities this Saturday.

Join our Disaster Relief team and the entire Woodlands Church community as we come together to serve our neighbors in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. We will be clearing branches and debris in our local neighborhoods and parks.
