Kids Camp Leader

Priority of Consideration

Due to a limited number of volunteer spots, not everyone who applies will be selected to serve as a Kids Camp Leader. The following factors will be taken into consideration during the selection process:

  • Interview with a WC/Kids Pastor
    A conversation to ensure alignment with the heart and vision of Kids Camp.
  • Serving at Woodlands Church
    Specifically serving in WC/Kids on a consistent basis.
  • Connected to Woodlands Church
    In a Life Group, attending services regularly, and engaged in the church community.
  • Membership
    Every leader must be a member of Woodlands Church.

What is Required to Serve

  • Completed background check (with references)
    Must be completed and cleared before serving at camp.
  • Complete Ministry Safe training
    Training must be up to date prior to camp.

Roles & Expectations

  • As a team leader at Kids Camp, we are asking for you to:
    • Commit fully to following the purpose, values, and leadership of Woodlands Church and WC Kids.
    • Commit to following the example of a Godly leader who lives their life above reproach.
    • Commit to reflecting a positive attitude, removing negativity, and believing the best in one another.
    • Commit your time to investing in the lives of the kids and leaders at camp.
    • Commit to praying every day for yourself, the kids, the leaders, and the staff.
  • With Kids:
    INVEST COMPLETELY into the lives of the children on your team.
    • Create a culture on your team where every child feels welcome, known, and able to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
    • Ensure that every child on your team is SAFE and cared for while they are at camp.
    MAKE IT FUN!
  • With Main Leads:
    • Establish a relationship with your Main Lead to utilize them as a valuable resource at camp.
    • Honor and adhere to the leadership of your Main Lead.
    • Promptly report any issues, concerns, or problems to your Main Lead.
  • In regard to the schedule:
    • Fully adhere to the camp schedule, ensuring you and your team are in the correct place and on time.
    • Be adaptable to any last-minute changes to the schedule.
  • With Tejas Staff and Camp:
    • Fully honor and adhere to the leadership of Tejas Staff.
    • Respect the camp property by disposing of trash appropriately and avoiding any damage.
